WRFG Labor Forum on Monday, Nov 2
The Labor Forum on WRFG 89.3FM welcomes ATU #732 President Curtis Howard and Paratransit driver Stanley Smalls to the Monday, Nov. 2 program to alert area residents to the threat of MARTA privatizing the disability service. This proposal is on the agenda for the Nov. 5 MARTA Board meeting despite a previous failed outsourcing of the Mobility buses and repeated opposition by the affected community members at any suggestion of revisiting that idea.
At 4:30pm, low-wage workers with the” Fight for $15 and a Union” campaign will lay out the details of the Nov.10 national actions and report on the progress of local efforts to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
The Labor Forum is broadcast every Monday from 4-5pm on WRFG 89.3FM and can be heard online at http://www.wrg.org and on the station’s mobile App. The program is also seen live on the Labor Forum YouTube channel where past broadcasts are archived in audio and visual formats.
