WRFG Labor Forum on Monday, August 29

The Labor Forum on WRFG 89.3FM welcomes Jeremy Galloway to the program on Monday, Aug. 29 to provide information about a national strike on Sept.9 by prisoners, demanding an end to inhuman conditions; unpaid labor; physical brutality; rampant use of solitary confinement and other grievances.The United States leads the world in the number of incarcerated people poor and working class men, women and youth with a high percentage coming from communities of color. This interview will air from 4:15-4:30pm.

Then at 4:30, Patricio Cambias will join the Labor Forum team in a discussion of the national organization, Students against Sweatshops which is organizing a chapter at Georgia State. Students are an important component in the overall struggle for economic and social justice.and many are already workers in low-wage jobs.
