WRFG Labor Forum for Monday, Sept 12

On Monday, Sept. 12, The Labor Forum on WRFG 89.3FM welcomes ATU 732 members and MARTA workers, Reggie Davis and Stanley Smalls to the program. The expansion of public transportation in metro Atlanta as well as its accessibility to the disability community continue to be critical issues, needing greater rider involvement.We will talk about successful efforts to build community and union alliances and why solidarity is necessary to win against cuts in service and attacks on wages and benefits. This discussion will begin at 4:30pm.

Earlier in the program at 4:15pm,an Atl Raise Up member will update the WRFG audience on the local struggle to win a $15 minimum wage and a union. Earlier, on Monday, low-wage workers will have joined the National Moral Day of Action at the state Capitol, calling on legislators to enact living wages, stronger voting rights and quality education and healthcare for all.
The Labor Forum airs every Monday from 4-5pm.
