WRFG Labor Forum program on Monday. Dec 19

The Labor Forum on WRFG 89.3FM on Mondays from 4-5pm discusses an important topic and the formation of a unique coalition in Atlanta on today’s program.

From 4:15-4:30, Roslind Hayes of the Mental Health Consumer Network describes the work of that organization in supporting individuals with their health needs and educating the general public about the issue.

Then at 4:30, she will be joined by Tracey Stokes, a MARTA Mobility driver, ATU #732 member and Board member of Disability LINK, Labor Forum team members Dawn O’Neal of Black Lives Matter and Paul McLennan to talk about the coalition that has joined forces to change the interaction between the disability community and police.
The police killing of naked Anthony Hill in March of 2015 while the young veteran was having a psychotic breakdown brought public attention to the number of fatal encounters between police and civilians with mental and physical disabilities.
