WRFG Labor Forum program on Monday, May 8, 2017

Readers of the Atlanta Constitution last Sunday (Ap. 30) saw a full page ad with hundreds of names of UPS mechanics and others who service the cargo planes operated by the highly profitable package delivery company
The ad was directed to the corporation’s management, asserting their demand for contract negotiations to move forward including maintaining their full coverage of healthcare benefits.
This was followed by picketing at UPS stores in Atlanta by members of Teamsters #2727 and a demonstration outside the UPS stockholders’ meeting in Wilmington, Delaware on May 4.
On Monday,May 8, Tim Boyle, President of Teamsters Local 2727 will be calling into The Labor Forum at 4:30 to talk about the protracted negotiations and the firm stance the union is taking on retaining their healthcare plan. Please tune into WRFG 89.3FM for this timely interview.
