On Monday, Jan. 22, The Labor Forum on WRFG 89.3FM offers information on two issues of importance to working people and their
families — the struggle for a $15 an hour minimum wage and the consequences of having an arrest record while looking for a job.
From 4:15 to 4:30, The Labor Forum team will hear from filmmaker, Robert Lamothe about his video, “Street Scenes 15” which captures the passion, determination and conviction of low-wage workers in Boston to win a $15 an hour minimum wage and a union. He offers his film as an organizing tool to spur the fight for economic justice and worker power.
At 4:30 Fulton County Solicitor General Keith Gammage will tell The Labor Forum audience about the process of expungement or removing criminal data from a person’s record. In particular, he will talk about an event taking place on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the IBEW auditorium, 501 Pulliam St SW, from 10am-2pm, offering expungement services and counseling to Fulton County residents.
The Labor Forum airs every Monday from 4-5pm on WRFG 89.3FM. For additional information, please see http://www.wrfglaborforum.org
